Carla & Sam's wedding

March 22, 2009

I traveled to Burbank, CA to capture the special moments of one of my stunt brothers, Sam. I've known this guy since middle school and he's been pretty much the same guy I've known since we first met. Both of us have a common interest which is martial arts which later lead him down the path of a Hollywood stuntman. I was honor yet again to have another friend allow me to capture their wedding for them. Their entire wedding took place at Calamigos Equestrian in Burbank. This was the first wedding I've been to where the groom said, "Fo Sho!", instead of "I do". But, that is the Sam I know and I'm not surprise. It was quite funny to witness it in person. Another first for me was that this couple went with cupcakes instead of a traditional wedding cake. They tasted as good as they look. Good job to the Cupcakes & Co. for the decorative and tasty cupcakes! Also, the folks over at PJ Events did a wonderful job with keeping the crowd going and setting the mood for the event. Here are some of the photos from Carla and Sam's wedding. Congrats to you both!

Sharon & Jeremy's wedding

March 8, 2009

Sunday I was given the opportunity to shoot Sharon and Jeremy's wedding. They had there wedding at The Gardens at Heather Farm in Walnut Creek, CA. I have never been to this location and was pleasantly surprised to find many different areas for photos. The couple along with their bridal party are very easy going and I had fun capturing their special day. I did not put on enough sun block so I made my t-shirt tan even worse. Sharon looked beautiful in her dress and so did her bridesmaids. The guys were looking sharp as well and had a great sense of humor. The food was Mediterranean served by Silk Road and it was very delicious. Overall it all came together well and I am glad I was able to be the one to capture the day for the couple. Congrats you two!

Glenda & Jerry's wedding

February 28, 2009

Saturday I got to photograph an old classmate's special day. His name is Jerry and his bride's name is Glenda. Both are very easy going and didn't get enough sleep the night before but that didn't stop them from enjoying the day. Days before we were on edge as it appeared that it may rain that day but luckily it didn't and it was just cloudy which created diffused lighting which was nice. The church had lots of foliage in the back which we used for some of the post ceremony photos. The first time ever I tripped during the ceremony and almost ate it but luckily ninja school paid off and I quickly recovered without making a big scene. It would of been really embarrassing. Enough about that here are some photos of that day.

Ceremony: Skyline Church
Reception: King of King
Flowers: Lee's Florist & Nursery

Photo session w/ Ashley

Had a session with Ashley this past weekend. I've been wanting to try this dark skin look for a while now but haven't had the right model to try it with. I am quite pleased with how it turned out and would like to try it some more in the future.
